Press & Quotable Statistics
AnythingCounter shows live estimates of what happens in the digital world by the second. Here you can grab quotable figures and get in touch for press.
Quotable figures
Figures as of March 2025. All rates come from published reports. For full sources, see our methodology page or the expandable info for each counter on the live dashboard.

About the project
AnythingCounter data is used by Anything Converter. We take annual and periodic stats from public reports and turn them into per-second rates. That way you can see the scale of things like AI hallucinations, e-waste, and phishing in real time. We update the dashboard when new data comes out. Transparency and context matter to us; we're not doing live event tracking.
Methodology
Everything here is based on public reports: international bodies, research institutes, industry sources (WHO, FBI, DataReportal, UN, Vectara, APWG, and others). We take yearly or periodic totals and convert them to per-second, per-minute, or per-day rates, then show them as live counters. The nitty-gritty (calculation logic, scaling, full source list) is on our methodology page and in the info panels on the AnythingCounter dashboard.
Sources & updates
Each counter on the dashboard links to one or more sources. We change the underlying rates when new data is published, not live. Full list of data sources: see the bottom of the AnythingCounter page.
